Lynn Newhouse discovered drawing and painting at an early age. She spent time as an art educator, and traveled around the world as a graphic designer for the Central Intelligence Agency. Art collections in cathedrals and museums, the people of many cultures, and the atmosphere and lighting of varied environments inspired Lynn's desire to paint. Now dedicated to oil painting, Lynn is recognized for her portraiture, still life and landscapes. She says her painting is driven by "the way color can be used to express light, whether on the human figure, on an object, or in our natural surroundings."
